We have completed our plant experiment. During the month of May we tested whether plants really need soil, water, and light by taking one thing away from 3 different bean plants. Ask your child about the results. The students were most excited about the plant without light because it grew to 90 cm tall! We talked about the adaptation it made called "etiolation". Would you want to have a plant without light?
Today we played with 3D objects and practiced copying other towers as fast as possible. The final challenge was to use the pieces to build the tallest tower. Which group do you think won?
Today the students in our class worked with the students in Mrs. Watt's class to label the parts of their bean plant. We used the app "Doodle Buddy", and for half the group this was their first time using this app. The students did a fantastic job! Their labelled plant pictures are posted on Freshgrade.
Today we started looking at 3D objects and noticing the different attributes. Then we sorted the objects by name. |
